Eili Lepik is set to start her role as the Deputy Chancellor of Cultural Values at the Estonian Ministry of Culture on April 1. In her announcement, she emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting cultural values, portraying them as a pivotal anchor in a rapidly changing world. Lepik underlined that amid chaos, cultural values help maintain clarity and a sense of identity.

Lepik believes there is a strong connection between culture, security, and competitiveness. She pointed out that libraries, museums, and other memory institutions are not insulated from the political and climatic changes occurring globally and that lessons can be learned from these sectors. She cited the Estonian Song and Dance Festival as a powerful example of fostering both national pride and environmental stewardship.

Previously, Lepik served as the deputy director of strategy at the State Chancellery, contributing to the long-term development strategy "Estonia 2035". Additionally, she held a leadership role at the Ministry of Climate, where she coordinated initiatives for sustainable development and environmental protection, highlighting her extensive experience in public policy and administration.
