"Maxima" Reduced the Regular Prices of 9 Thousand Food Products by Up to 25%
Lithuanian retailer Maxima has reduced the regular prices of over 9,000 food products by up to 25% as part of its commitment to low pricing for customers.
Maxima, a leading retail chain in Lithuania, has made a significant move by lowering the regular prices of more than 9,000 food items by as much as 25%. This price reduction is touted by Maxima's CEO Kristupas Buzys as unprecedented in the market, emphasizing that such a large-scale decrease has never before been implemented. The initiative reflects Maxima's ongoing priority to provide low pricing for its customers amidst a competitive retail environment.
The decision to slash prices followed over six months of preparation and negotiations with more than 200 suppliers and manufacturers. Buzys thanked these partners, including notable companies like Biovela, Vilniaus pergalė, and Rokiškio pienas, for their collaboration in achieving this landmark initiative. This cooperation underscores the importance of strong supplier relationships in making such pricing strategies feasible.
As a result of this price reduction, customers will no longer have to wait for promotional events to purchase food items at lower prices. This shift not only benefits consumers by providing immediate savings but also positions Maxima as a frontrunner in the retail landscape of Lithuania, potentially influencing competitors to adopt similar pricing strategies to retain market share.
