Motiva Institute breaks record with R$ 81.7 million for social projects
The Motiva Institute has achieved its largest budget ever, allocating R$ 81.7 million to sustainable city projects in 2025, benefiting over 2 million people.
The Motiva Institute, the social arm of infrastructure company Motiva (formerly CCR), has closed out 2025 with a historic budget of R$ 81.7 million directed towards impactful projects aimed at creating sustainable cities. This amount marks a 12.5% increase from the previous year and has positively affected more than 2 million individuals, as reported by the organization. The growth in budget reflects a strategic focus initiated last year, which seeks to promote sustainable cities and communities in regions where the company operates, including roads, railways, and airports.
In addition to the record budget, the Motiva Institute also announced an expansion of its social investment goal from R$ 750 million to R$ 1 billion by 2035. Since 2023, R$ 231 million has already been invested, indicating a strong commitment to this increased target. For the upcoming year of 2026, the institute anticipates an investment of R$ 74 million, with the potential for upward revisions based on emerging needs and opportunities.
A key area of focus for these investments is the climate agenda, as the institute is actively participating in initiatives alongside the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development. This collaboration emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainability into the business practices of infrastructure and mobility sectors, thereby tackling climate change and fostering resilient communities.
