The decision came hours after an Iranian 'Shahed' drone struck the base, prompting immediate concerns over security. The Cypriot government also took precautionary measures by ordering the evacuation of Larnaca Airport, reported to be the second-largest in Cyprus, after the government neutralized two drones flying towards Akrotiri.
