A national campaign in Lithuania raised over 5 million euros to support Ukraine, with funds directed towards the formation of robotic units to assist soldiers in frontline situations.
The initiative known as "RADAROM!" has successfully raised 5,121,730 euros in donations, aimed primarily at supporting Ukraine in its ongoing conflict. The funds are being utilized to form robotic units that can operate in high-danger zones, thus reducing the direct risk to human soldiers. These robots are sourced from manufacturers in Ukraine and are set to enhance both land and aerial support frameworks. The goal of this year's campaign is not only to provide battlefield support through robotics but also to foster medical evacuation solutions in hostile environments.
The campaign saw substantial contributions from both the citizens of Lithuania and the business sector, showcasing a strong collective commitment to aiding Ukraine. Various fundraising methods were used, including internal initiatives from businesses, auctions, and other support formats. Notably, a final concert associated with the campaign featured a special auction offering unique collectibles, such as a Ukrainian flag signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Lithuanian tricolor signed by former President Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—, highlighting the symbolic support for Ukraine.
As the operational needs of the Ukrainian military evolve, the integration of these robotic systems represents a significant leap in how assistance is being delivered.
