Section under the bridge of the railway line in Uberlândia is closed for works; check alternative routes
A section of the Helena Menezes railway bridge in Uberlândia will be closed for approximately 45 days for revitalization works, affecting local traffic.
The Helena Menezes railway bridge, also known as the Alvorada Bridge or BR-365 Bridge, located at the crossing of the railway and the MGC-452 highway in Uberlândia, is set to be completely closed starting Monday for revitalization works. The intervention is expected to last about 45 days, impacting vehicle traffic in the region significantly. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to improve the railway infrastructure and associated signaling in the area.
According to VLI Logística, the concessionaire responsible for managing the railway, the planned works include restoration of the bridge structure along with enhancements to both railway and road signaling. These improvements are considered vital for the safety and efficiency of the transport services using the railway, particularly in light of the increasing traffic demands in the area.
In light of the closure, VLI Logística has provided alternative routes for motorists traveling from Uberlândia to Araxá, as the traffic in this direction will be completely blocked. However, vehicles traveling from Araxá to Uberlândia will face partial restrictions. It's important for the local community to heed these changes and follow the suggested alternative routes to minimize inconvenience during the construction period.
