Henkel, the German multinational specializing in adhesives and sealants, has opened a new research and development center in Jundiaí, located in São Paulo's interior, representing its largest investment in R&D in Latin America to date, totaling R$ 230.4 million (approximately 38 million euros). This facility was inaugurated on the 25th and mirrors the company's global centers in Düsseldorf, Germany, and Shanghai, China.
Jundiaí was strategically chosen due to its existing industrial plant and distribution center for Henkel as well as its proximity to universities, industrial clients, and suppliers. The new center spans 5,000 square meters and includes a building equipped with 20 laboratories and administrative spaces for more than 100 employees. This investment signifies a commitment to advancing sustainability and technological development in the region.
The establishment of the Inspiration Center Jundiaí aims not only to address immediate market needs but also to leave a legacy for future generations, reinforcing Henkel's contribution to sustainable development and innovation. The center is poised to enhance the company's collaboration with local research institutions and support Brazil's position in the global market for adhesive technologies.
