"Lidl" announces further reduced prices for dairy products

Lidl Lithuania is continuing its strategy of lowering regular prices on popular dairy products to provide better value for its customers.

Lidl Lithuania has announced that it will be further reducing prices on a variety of dairy products, including butter, milk, curd, and sour cream. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to cater to customer expectations of savings, especially during a time when many shoppers are looking for ways to cut expenses. Domantas Vizbaras, the head of fresh and frozen food purchasing for Lidl Lithuania, emphasized that customers do not need to wait for discounts or special offers, as high-quality products are now available at permanently low prices.

The retailer is able to offer these lower prices due to its reliance on private labels and its ongoing negotiations with both Lithuanian and European producers. By having more control over their supply chain and product offerings, Lidl can quickly pass on any savings it experiences to its customers. This latest round of price reductions is also prompted by observed changes in the raw milk market, which the company has been monitoring closely.

As a response to these market changes, Lidl aims to strengthen its position within the competitive grocery landscape in Lithuania by offering better prices and reinforcing customer loyalty. By being the first to implement significant price reductions in this category last year, Lidl has set a precedent in the market, indicating a potential shift in how grocery chains approach pricing and consumer demand in the future.
