Feach, a garage rock band, won the first Livestage.Youth competition, held in Paavli Cultural Factory, earning a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at a music festival.
The inaugural Livestage.Youth competition took place at Paavli Cultural Factory, aimed at showcasing young musical talents. In the final, ten individual artists and bands performed, demonstrating a variety of musical styles. The jury awarded the top prize to the garage rock band Feach, who impressed both the audience and the panel with their performance.
Feach's victory comes with several benefits, including a monetary prize of 1,000 euros, an opportunity to organize their own concert at Paavli Cultural Factory, and studio time. Furthermore, they will represent Estonia at the Novus competition in Vilnius, showcasing their talents on a broader stage. Feach's representative expressed their disbelief at the win and acknowledged the importance of performing authentically, receiving enthusiastic support from the audience during the show.
The competition also recognized other talents, with experimental solo artist SΓ€de Semper taking second place, which includes a performance slot at Tallinn Music Week, and the band Metropol from Viljandi securing third place, ensuring that various genres and styles of music were highlighted at the event. This competition not only serves to elevate new artists but also strengthens the local music scene in Estonia, promoting a diverse range of musical expressions.
