Registration for CNH Social in Amazonas ends this Monday (2); see how to participate
The Amazonas government is closing registrations for the CNH Social program on Monday, offering free driver's licenses to low-income residents.
The Amazonas government is concluding its registration period for the CNH Social program, which provides free National Driver's Licenses (CNH) for low-income individuals in the state. This program is designed to make driving accessible by waiving all fees associated with the licensing process. The initiative specifically targets residents who meet certain social criteria, aiming to empower those who are often excluded from such opportunities.
In this cycle, the program prioritizes specific groups, including mototaxistas and motofretistas without licenses, caregivers of people with disabilities, participants of the previous CNH na Escola project, and women who are survivors of domestic violence. Since the program’s inception in 2021, it has successfully offered over 120,000 opportunities for individuals to obtain their driving licenses, significantly impacting the lives of many in the community by enhancing their mobility and employment prospects.
To register for the CNH Social program, applicants must meet several criteria such as being registered in the government’s Cadastro Único (CadÚnico), proving low income, residing in Amazonas for at least two years, and fulfilling age and educational requirements. Registration is free and can be completed online at the Detran website, thus allowing for a straightforward application process for eligible participants.
