Cameroon: Aviation Minister Signs Nigeria-Cameroon Technical Aeronautical Search, Rescue Agreement
Nigeria and Cameroon have signed a Technical Aeronautical Search and Rescue agreement to strengthen aviation safety and cooperation.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development of Nigeria, Festus Keyamo, along with the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Chris Najomo, recently completed a working visit to Cameroon where they formalized a Technical Aeronautical Search and Rescue (SAR) agreement. This agreement is seen as a crucial step to enhancing aviation safety between the two nations, reflecting a holistic approach to addressing the challenges related to search and rescue operations in the aviation sector.
During their visit, the Nigerian delegation engaged in high-level discussions with Cameroonian officials, including the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Ngallé Bibehe, and prominent figures from the country’s Civil Aviation Authority.
