TÜ/Bigbank faced a challenging match in the semi-finals of the Baltic Women's Volleyball League, quickly falling behind with a 0-2 set score against the Latvian team RSU. The first set ended decisively at 25-6 in favor of RSU, and they continued to dominate the second set, winning it 25-14. However, the Tartu team rallied in the third set, turning an 18-20 deficit into a 25-22 victory, which marked the beginning of a comeback in the match.

In the fourth set, TÜ/Bigbank began with an impressive streak, scoring ten consecutive points. Despite RSU's attempts to narrow the gap towards the end of the set, TÜ/Bigbank secured a 25-20 win, pushing the match to a decisive fifth set. The final set started off evenly matched, but TÜ/Bigbank took control with four unanswered points to lead 11-7. They maintained this advantage, ultimately winning the set 15-10 and earning their place in the finals on Sunday.
