Record Participation in the 25th Edition of the Clarín National Award for Students
The Clarín National Award for Students has seen a record participation with 184 eligible submissions in its 25th edition, set to finalize on March 6.
The 25th edition of the Clarín National Award for Students has reported an impressive level of participation, with 184 submissions deemed eligible for consideration. This increase marks a significant rise compared to previous years, where only 62 and 61 submissions were made in the 2023 and 2024 editions, respectively. The award, which traditionally concluded around the holiday season, was rescheduled to early in the year for this edition, a change that has been positively received as a motivational boost for students.
The event's advisers, Carolina Day and Marta García Falcó, highlighted how the new timing has fostered greater involvement among students. They also announced the most popular juror as voted by the students—architect Juan Martín Flores—who will be part of the jury for this edition. Furthermore, architect Jaime Grinberg was randomly selected to represent the SCA, with Berto González Montaner serving as the chief editor of ARQ for Clarín, indicating a strong panel of judges for this prestigious competition.
As the jurors prepare to analyze the submissions, the anticipation builds for the announcement of the winners on March 6. This award not only showcases the talents of emerging students in architecture and design but also reveals a growing trend of engagement within the student community, reflecting a successful initiative by Clarín to stimulate creativity and recognition in the arts.
