The largest amusement park in Latin America is being built in Itu
A new amusement park, touted as the largest in Latin America, is currently under construction in Itu, São Paulo.
In Itu, a city located in the interior of São Paulo state, construction is underway for the largest amusement park in Latin America, covering an expansive area of one million square meters along the Castello Branco highway. This development is poised to make Itu a key player in the region's tourism sector, which is already a significant economic driver, providing jobs and enhancing local businesses. With numerous options for recreation, the region continues to attract both long-term vacationers and weekend visitors alike.
The entrepreneur Alexandre Costa, known as the founder of the candy company Cacau Show and the upcoming Cacau Park, cited several reasons for selecting Itu as the location for this massive project, including the area's favorable climate, proximity to São Paulo, and well-developed infrastructure. Costa highlighted that the nearby airport and the presence of over 30 million residents in the vicinity make Itu an ideal spot for tourism. This strategic decision is expected to draw substantial crowds, further boosting the local economy.
Projected to witness an investment of around R$ 2 billion, the amusement park promises to include several attractions, including the largest and fastest roller coaster in the region. These developments underline the growing importance of leisure and entertainment facilities in Brazil, aiming not only to enhance tourism but also to create a vibrant local economy and foster community engagement through entertainment.
