This incident occurred on a Friday night when local municipal guards identified a suspicious vehicle containing the five men in the Jardim Dall’orto neighborhood. The guards discovered that one of the occupants was holding a motorcycle key along with sports gear, raising their suspicions. The area is known for being a common escape route and hideout for stolen vehicles.
Upon further investigation, law enforcement conducted searches in the nearby wooded area, leading to the recovery of two high-displacement motorcycles. These bikes, along with the five suspects, were taken to the local police station for processing. The municipal guards, including Rogério Lopes Cavalcante, indicated that the location had previously been linked to criminal activity involving motorcycle theft and is often used by thieves to evade capture.
