Citizen Truck offers free services in eight municipalities of Ceará; see which ones

The Citizen Truck is providing free services such as the issuance of national identity cards and criminal background checks in eight municipalities in Ceará, Brazil.

The Citizen Truck, a project initiated by the Secretary of Social Protection (SPS), is currently traveling through various municipalities in Ceará, including both urban and rural areas. This initiative aims to offer essential services such as the issuance of the new National Identity Card (CIN), the first CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) issuance, and criminal background checks among others. The truck will be operational this week, making stops in significant neighborhoods and providing services to residents.

In the capital city, Fortaleza, the Citizen Truck will commence its activities on Monday, March 2, starting in neighborhoods like Vila Peri and Praia do Futuro II. As the week progresses, it will continue to other neighborhoods, including Presidente Kennedy, Parangaba, Demócrito Rocha, Centro, Granja Portugal, and Vila União. This extension into urban areas signifies the importance of community engagement and accessibility of governmental services to residents.

Additionally, the project is reaching the interior of the state, where it offers its services in both urban and rural settings, notably including visits to indigenous school communities in Aratuba. This demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity in service delivery, ensuring that marginalized groups such as indigenous peoples have access to essential documentation and services, which further emphasizes the significance of this initiative for public welfare in the region.
