On Friday at 14:40, a report was received regarding a strong smell of gas in the stairwell of a residential building located on Demokratų Street in the Vilijampolė neighborhood of Kaunas. Authorities took immediate action by evacuating 12 residents from the apartment building to ensure their safety.
Gas service workers responded promptly to assess the situation. Upon inspection, they located a malfunction in one of the apartments, which was causing the gas leak.
