The organization 'Tavi draugi' and rapper Arturs Skutelis invite to a charity concert for support of Ukraine
A charity concert in support of Ukraine will be held on March 21 in Riga, organized by the alternative culture community and the organization 'Tavi draugi'.
On March 21, the alternative culture community in collaboration with the organization 'Tavi draugi' will hold a charity concert at 'Vagonu Hall' in Riga, marking the fourth year of this initiative to support Ukraine amidst ongoing conflict. The event will feature performances from the mixed Latvian-Ukrainian choir and various music groups, along with special guests such as rapper Arturs Skutelis and DJ Vinvins. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a charity auction, making the event a multifaceted effort to raise funds.
All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will be directed towards supporting paramedics working on the front lines in Ukraine, emphasizing the concert's humanitarian goal. This initiative comes four years after the Russian aggression began, which led to a severe humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The support concerts at 'Vagonu Hall' have historically provided a platform for the alternative community to unite for a common cause, demonstrating solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Continuing the collaboration initiated last year, this concert reinforces the message that the bleak reality of the past years should not become the norm, and the Latvian community remains committed to providing aid and raising awareness about the situation in Ukraine. The event exemplifies the role of culture in fostering community and activism in times of crisis.
