A charity concert for Ukraine took place at Vagonu Hall in Riga, featuring various artists and a charity auction, with proceeds going to support paramedics working along the front lines in Ukraine.
The alternative culture community in Latvia, together with the association 'Tavi draugi', organized a charity concert for Ukraine on March 21 at Vagonu Hall in Riga. This concert is part of an ongoing effort, marking the fourth consecutive year of events aimed at raising funds and awareness for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Attendees were not only treated to live music but also had the opportunity to participate in a charity auction, which has become a tradition of the evening.
The evening's program featured performances from artists like the Latvian-Ukrainian choir organized by 'Tavi draugi', as well as bands such as 'Nikto', 'Les Attitudes Spectrales', and 'Nova Koma'. Special guests included Arturs Skutelis and DJ Vinvins, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere that highlighted the strong solidarity with Ukraine. The participation of diverse artists underscores the unifying power of music in times of crisis, bringing together different communities for a shared cause.
The funds raised from ticket sales and the auction will be directed towards supporting paramedics operating near the front lines in Ukraine. This initiative not only aids those in need but also serves to remind the local community in Latvia of the ongoing struggles faced by their neighbors and the importance of continued support and humanitarian efforts during these challenging times.
