A solar plant inaugurated in Santarém will meet 60% of the energy demand of the TRE of Pará

A new solar power plant in Santarém is expected to supply 60% of the energy needs of the Electoral Regional Court of Pará.

The Diogo Seixas Condurú Photovoltaic Power Plant, inaugurated by the Electoral Regional Court of Pará, is a significant development in renewable energy for the region. Located in Santarém, the plant features 2,576 solar panels with a total capacity of 1.7 MWp, covering an area of 14,000 square meters. This facility is designed to meet 60% of the energy consumption for the court's headquarters as well as for the 101 electoral zones across the state, promoting sustainability and economic efficiency.

The inauguration event highlighted the project’s financial advantages, with an expected annual savings of R$ 1.67 million. During the ceremony, the president of the TRE of Pará, Judge José Maria Teixeira do Rosário, emphasized the importance of this initiative as part of a broader commitment to environmental protection and resource management. He noted that the TRE of Pará is the second in Brazil to implement such a clean energy project, after the one established in Paraná.

Launched in 2022, the solar plant represents a progressive step towards enhancing energy independence and reducing carbon footprints within governmental operations in Brazil. This initiative aligns with the increasing global emphasis on renewable energy sources and sustainability, showcasing the court's leadership in embracing green technologies that benefit both the environment and the economy of the state.
