SAAE Jacareí begins construction of the water supply reinforcement pipeline that will benefit residents

SAAE Jacareí has commenced construction of the 'Altos de Santana' reinforcement pipeline which will improve water supply for around 90,000 residents in the eastern region of the city.

The SAAE (Autonomous Water and Sewage Service) in Jacareí has officially started the construction of the 'Altos de Santana' reinforcement pipeline as of February 2023. This significant infrastructure project is projected to benefit nearly 90,000 residents in the eastern part of Jacareí, addressing critical water supply issues that have plagued the area. The completion of the project is expected by September 2026, with the works crucial for improving the water distribution framework in this fast-growing region.

The construction of the 'Altos de Santana' pipeline will utilize a non-destructive method to minimize disruption to the local community. This approach is designed to ensure that residents experience the least possible inconvenience during the construction phase, a crucial consideration given the scale of the project. The total investment for this essential infrastructure upgrade is about R$ 7.5 million, a substantial commitment by the local government aiming to enhance living conditions for its population.

The pipeline will span a total length of 2.7 kilometers, starting from the intersection of Bernardino de Campos Street and Cônego José Bento Street and culminating at the Booster station at Rodovia Geraldo Scavone, located in the Jardim Califórnia neighborhood. This new water supply infrastructure is expected to significantly alleviate water scarcity issues, which have been a persistent challenge for the population in Jacareí, thus fostering community well-being and support for future urban development.
