AS "Rīgas siltums" officially opened a new electrode water-heating boiler at its Imanta heating plant in Riga. This new technology is designed to produce thermal energy during periods of low electricity prices, aiding in the balancing of Latvia's electricity network. The financial performance of the "Rīgas siltums" group has revealed a mixed outlook in the latest fiscal year. The group's revenue decreased by 3.6% to €239.625 million; however, the profits notably surged, reaching €19.888 million, indicating improved operational efficiencies or cost management. Similarly, the parent company recorded a revenue drop of 3.6% but experienced a significant profit increase of 61.4% to €6.373 million, suggesting resilience in its core heating services despite a contracting revenue base.
