A house collapsed in the Jardim Natal neighborhood of Juiz de Fora due to recent heavy rains, with no victims reported so far and evacuation measures in place for affected areas.
In the early hours of Thursday, a house in the Jardim Natal neighborhood of Juiz de Fora collapsed as a result of the ongoing heavy rains in the city. The local firefighters report that, at this time, there are no recorded victims from the incident. The Civil Defense has instructed a complete evacuation of the surrounding streets, including Dr. Augusto Eckman and Tenente Lucas Drumond. Residents needing shelter have been directed to the Municipal School Henrique JosΓ© de Souza in a nearby area.
In addition to the house collapse in Jardim Natal, multiple other incidents were reported during the night, including the collapse of a building on Tapajara Street in the GuaruΓ‘ neighborhood, which fortunately also resulted in no casualties. Furthermore, there was a landslide in the TrΓͺs Moinhos neighborhood where three houses fell; again, no victims were reported. However, there has been a concerning incident where a motorcyclist was swept away by floodwaters in the Bom Pastor neighborhood.
