Son-in-law stole 40 KG of silver and half a kilo of gold, rendered in-laws unconscious

A son-in-law in Uttar Pradesh stole large quantities of silver and gold from his in-laws after rendering them unconscious with a sedative.

In a shocking incident in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, a son-in-law betrayed his family by stealing 40 kilograms of silver and 500 grams of gold. The accused, Kaushal, was treated as family by his in-laws, but he took advantage of their trust. After using a sedative to incapacitate his mother-in-law, father-in-law, and mute wife, he executed the theft and disappeared without a trace.

Santosh Verma, a local jeweler and the victim of this incident, had faced challenges when marrying off his only daughter, who is mute. After some difficulties, he accepted Kaushal into their family about a year and a half ago, despite his previous bad habits. Recently, however, Kaushal returned to the family home after being expelled months prior, seeking forgiveness and claiming he wanted to reform. In an act of misplaced compassion, Santosh allowed him to stay, which ultimately led to this betrayal.

The incident has left the family distraught and in disbelief. With a thriving jewelry business, Santosh Verma had the proper licenses for gold and silver trading, further highlighting the substantial losses incurred due to this theft. The family is now facing the ramifications of this betrayal, and local authorities have been alerted to the incident as they seek justice and recover the stolen items.
