Following the tragic events of the Lapu Lapu Festival on April 26, 2025, in Vancouver, communities across Canada and internationally rallied to support the victims through donations. The United Way BC initiated the Kapwa Strong Fund, which successfully raised a total of $1,574,556.04 aimed at assisting those impacted by the devastating incident. This fund represents a significant collective effort to provide much-needed resources to facilitate healing and recovery.
