Rodrigues Alves Park in Belém will offer free admission this weekend, allowing visitors to enjoy its vast biodiversity and participate in guided tours.

Rodrigues Alves Zoo Botanical Park in Belém, located on Almirante Barroso Avenue, is offering free admission for visitors on Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, November 1, from 8 AM to 4 PM. This park, which has a rich history spanning 142 years, is recognized as one of the most significant natural and historical heritages of the Pará capital, drawing both locals and tourists eager to experience the Amazon's unique flora and fauna.

The park encompasses a vast area of 15 hectares and is home to over 10,000 trees and 435 animals, designed as a sanctuary that showcases the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest. On Saturday, visitors can also enjoy a guided trail starting at 10 AM, organized as part of the Monitored Visits in Urban Parks project led by students from the Federal University of Pará's Tourism course. This initiative, supervised by Professor Fabrício Siqueira Mendes, aims to educate the public about the park's environmental significance.

During these guided tours, technicians from the park will provide valuable insights into biodiversity, environmental preservation, and the importance of protecting this vital ecosystem. Such events not only enhance public awareness and appreciation of natural spaces but also promote community engagement in conservation efforts, making it a significant occasion for enhancing environmental education in the region.
