Aeropuertos Argentina will invest US$110 million this year to expand the capacity of Ezeiza Airport
Aeropuertos Argentina plans to invest US$110 million to expand Ezeiza Airport's capacity, with some airlines required to modify schedules during the project.
Aeropuertos Argentina is set to invest US$110 million this year to enhance the capabilities of the Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Ezeiza, which serves as the primary terminal for passenger traffic in Argentina. The investment comes as the aerocommercial sector in Argentina experiences significant growth, with 50,646,921 passengers recorded across all airports in the country in 2025, reflecting a 12% increase compared to the previous year and a doubling of activity in recent years.
The expansion plan will primarily focus on the 'air' side of the airport, including the rehabilitation of the secondary runway. This refurbishment is expected to necessitate temporary modifications to flight schedules for certain airlines over a 15-day period between October and November. Such changes highlight the ongoing adaptation of air travel infrastructure to meet rising demand amidst an expanding economy, which has seen substantial growth in its GDP.
The construction of the new Golf platform will allow for better operation and parking facilities for seven narrow-body aircraft simultaneously. This project marks a significant investment in enhancing the air travel infrastructure of Argentina, catering to a booming travel sector and aiming to improve overall passenger experience at one of the busiest airports in the country.
