Two women marry two youths, then a gang escapes with 5 lakh looted from the groom

A shocking incident of marriage fraud in Bihar has emerged where a gang looted nearly five lakh rupees from two grooms under the pretense of marriage.

In a surprising case of marriage fraud in Gopalganj, Bihar, two young men from Rajasthan were tricked into losing nearly five lakh rupees. The fraudsters, posing as brides, married the men and subsequently attacked them with knives during the farewell ceremony, making off with the grooms in the process. The victims have since approached the local police to seek justice and report the crime, prompting an investigation into the matter as the community expresses outrage over the scam.

The two grooms, Ankit Kumar from Jaipur and Prince from Sawai Madhopur, had been looking to get married and were approached by a local broker who offered to facilitate their marriages in Bihar. This broker allegedly took two lakh rupees in cash from each groom and charged an additional fifty thousand rupees for wedding expenses, totaling a significant amount that was promised to lead to a successful marriage. After arriving in Gopalganj with their families, the ordeal began when they headed to a marriage hall organized by the broker.

The situation escalated dramatically when, during the wedding proceedings, the alleged brides and their accomplices revealed their true intentions. Following the ceremony, while the families were preoccupied with the celebrations, the gang displayed weapons and beat the grooms, making a hasty escape with the stolen money. The local police have initiated an investigation as the victims hope for swift action against those responsible, highlighting the vulnerability of individuals seeking marriages in remote areas and the need for stricter regulations to prevent such scams in the future.
