Micaela Morales, a 28-year-old Argentine woman currently residing in Barcelona, recounted her traumatic experience stemming from a case of mistaken identity in Ecuador. The ordeal began after the assassination of Stalin Olivero Vargas, known as 'El Marino', a prominent drug trafficker, which marked a turning point in her life. Following the murder, the television network Ecuavisa aired a special titled 'Muñecas de la mafia' which discussed drug culture and inadvertently linked her social media profiles to Vargas, leading many to believe she was one of his lovers. This misidentification thrust Morales into a nightmare.
