Free Sleep Quality Tests and Specialist Consultations Offered

Visitors at health stations in Latvia will have the opportunity to perform sleep quality tests and receive consultations from medical students and specialists.

In Latvia, health stations are offering free sleep quality tests to assess risks related to sleep apnea, anxiety-related issues, and other sleep disorders. Participants can also measure blood pressure, determine body mass index (BMI), and receive advice on sleep hygiene, alongside information on where to seek help for sleep disorders. This initiative will include future doctors from the Latvian Medical Students' Association, who will provide consultations regarding the prevention of sleep issues.

Zane Kaktiņa, the Chairperson of "Centrālās laboratorijas", emphasizes that this free measurement campaign is an investment in improving public understanding of the significance of assessments and measurements in health prevention and maintaining mental health. She highlights that sleep is fundamental for both emotional resilience and physical well-being, yet sleep disorders often go unnoticed. Hence, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to explore sleep quality risks and consult with specialists, as timely prevention and attention to health are crucial.

This initiative reflects a growing awareness in Latvia about the importance of sleep for overall health and well-being. By facilitating access to these tests and consultations, the program aims to not only identify individuals at risk for sleep disorders but also to educate the public on the preventive measures that can be taken to enhance sleep quality, thereby contributing to better mental and physical health outcomes across the community.
