Petrobras and IFPE offer free courses with scholarships of up to R$ 858 in Caruaru; see who can participate
Petrobras and the Federal Institute of Pernambuco are offering free vocational training courses in Caruaru with scholarships available for economically vulnerable candidates.
Petrobras has partnered with the Federal Institute of Pernambuco (IFPE) to launch the Program Autonomia e Renda, which offers free vocational training courses at the IFPE campus in Caruaru, Pernambuco. The program is set to provide 60 openings for two types of courses: Ajudante de Elétrica (Electrical Helper) and Ajudante de Instrumentação (Instrumentation Helper), with scholarships that can reach up to R$ 858 per month. The registration for these courses is open until March 11, 2026, through the program's official website.
The registration process is designed to be inclusive, particularly targeting individuals in socioeconomic vulnerability who lack formal employment ties. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online, and to ensure fairness, the selection will be conducted via a public lottery on March 18, 2026. This method not only promotes accessibility but also enhances community engagement, as the lottery will be broadcasted live on social media, allowing transparency in the selection process.
This initiative represents a significant investment in education and skill development within the region, particularly in a country where educational opportunities can drastically improve the socio-economic conditions of individuals. By offering these courses, Petrobras and IFPE not only aim to improve the employability of participants but also contribute to local economic development, making a positive impact on communities in need.
