Memory and Cultural Heritage of Prussia Presented at Klaipeda University
A new publication highlighting the cultural heritage of Prussia was introduced at Klaipeda University, showcasing regional collaborations.
The event at Klaipeda University emphasized the importance of a newly released publication titled 'Memory and Cultural Heritage of Prussia'. This book is not only an academic work but also a product of real partnership activities between the university and local municipalities, particularly noted by the Deputy Mayor of Pagėgiai, Aušra Zongailienė. She expressed satisfaction in seeing that the partnership translates into tangible activities, publications, and new initiatives that enhance the cultural identity of the region.
Dr. Benediktas Petrauskas, the university's Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Development, highlighted the institution's significant role in the region, stressing the need for science to have a real impact. He emphasized that the university's efforts aim to strengthen historical consciousness, encourage community dialogue, and contribute to the preservation of cultural identity. It was noted that historical research should reach beyond the academic community to benefit the wider public.
Doc.
