Paulauskas will replace the current ambassador, Darius Staniulis, who will be relieved from his position effective April 9. This transition in leadership is part of the government's efforts to enhance the representation of Lithuania's interests in international forums.

Rytis Paulauskas expressed his commitment to working closely with Lithuanian institutions to ensure that the country's interests are effectively presented in Geneva. He acknowledged the contributions of his predecessor, Darius Staniulis, who served for four years under challenging circumstances.
