Blue Zone now has long-term parking spaces with up to five hours of use on 15 streets in João Pessoa
João Pessoa introduces long-term parking in the Blue Zone, allowing motorists to park for up to five consecutive hours at a reduced rate.
The city of João Pessoa has recently implemented long-term parking opportunities in the Blue Zone, allowing drivers to occupy a parking space for up to five consecutive hours. This initiative, published in the Municipal Official Gazette on Tuesday (24), aims to enhance parking convenience for residents and visitors. For this extended parking time, the fee is set at R$ 7.50, which is more affordable compared to standard rates.
Moreover, the new regulations stipulate that should a vehicle exceed the five-hour limit, an additional charge of R$ 3 per hour will be incurred, along with penalties outlined in the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB). For shorter parking durations, the fee remains at R$ 3 per hour. The Blue Zone tickets can be conveniently obtained through parking meters, authorized sales points, the company monitors, or via the official app of the concessionaire.
This development is particularly relevant for residents and commuters in João Pessoa, as it addresses the ongoing demand for accessible parking solutions in urban areas. The introduction of long-term parking on key streets not only facilitates better parking management but also encourages economic activity in the city by making it easier for people to access local businesses and services.
