The Estonian Ice Racing Cup Series is reaching an exciting conclusion with the final event scheduled for this Saturday at Kuremaa Lake, where over 200 participants have been competing. So far, four stages of the series have taken place, showcasing the competitive spirit among 214 racers across various classes. With only one event left in the series, the titles for the season's best racers remain up for grabs in all categories, making the final race highly anticipated.
In the fiercely contested Krosskart Xtrem class, a narrow two-point gap separates the leading competitors, Andrus Prossi and Rando Reiska, with scores of 67 and 65 points, respectively. Similarly, the standings in the 4WD Mini and 4WD Sport categories are tight, with Indrek Roostar and Mihkel Tomingas both vying for the top spot in 4WD Mini, and Aiko Aigro and Raik-Karl Aarma contending in 4WD Sport. As scoring is structured to reward the top racers with significant points at each stage, the final race will be crucial for determining the champions of the series.
Mati Kask, the organizer of the series, expressed optimism about the event, crediting the exceptionally good winter conditions for enabling the smooth execution of four stages and indicating that everything is set for a successful fifth stage. The excitement is palpable as racers and spectators alike look forward to the culmination of the season and the crowning of this year's champions in the Estonian Ice Racing scene.
