Facape is offering free courses for individuals over 50 as part of its initiative for the elderly in Petrolina.
Faculdade de Petrolina (Facape) has announced that it is accepting registrations for its Open College for the Elderly (FATI) program, specifically designed for people over the age of 50. The enrollment period is free and runs until March 12, providing an opportunity for senior citizens to engage in various educational modules. There are thirty slots available for each module, covering topics such as Basic Law, Digital Inclusion, Health Education, Financial Education, and introductory courses in English and Spanish.
The courses will be conducted in-person during morning, afternoon, and evening hours, allowing participants adequate flexibility to choose their preferred timings and subjects. The classes are set to commence on March 16, promoting lifelong learning and skill development among the elderly community in the region. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors through education and personal empowerment.
To register, applicants must visit the postgraduate office at Facape from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 12 PM and 2 PM and 5 PM, bringing along necessary documents, including a copy of their ID, tax identification number, proof of residence, and educational qualifications. This program is a collaborative extension effort between Facape and the University of Pernambuco (UP), highlighting the importance of education accessibility for the elderly in Brazil.
