As the officers took cover until the shooting stopped, they managed to locate the suspects as one of them discarded a backpack to evade capture.

Upon apprehension, the police discovered an outstanding temporary arrest warrant issued against the man. Following a thorough search of the area, they retrieved the discarded backpack which contained a 9mm pistol, two magazines, and 60 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, the officers seized 11 small packages of dry plant material and 132 crack cocaine rocks, indicating the scale of drug trafficking in the area and the dangerous environment it creates within local communities.
