This recognition comes from passenger evaluations of around 400 airports in 95 countries, reflecting a rigorous assessment based on customer satisfaction. Annually, approximately 4,000 air travelers are interviewed at Helsinki-Vantaa to gauge their experiences.

According to Laura Inttilรค, the director of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, this award highlights the airport's strengths in providing a smooth, comfortable, and high-quality experience that stands out in international comparisons. The award is rooted in continuous assessments of customer satisfaction and service quality, where travelers evaluate around 30 service categories throughout their journey at the airport, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of passenger needs and preferences.
