Helsinki-Vantaa Airport received a major recognition

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has been chosen as Europe's best airport in the 15-25 million passengers category for the seventh time based on passenger assessments.

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has earned acclaim as Europe's best airport in the 15-25 million passenger category for the seventh consecutive year, according to a statement from the airport operating company Finavia. The accolade is granted by the Airports Council International (ACI) through the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards, which rely on passenger evaluations across approximately 400 airports in 95 countries worldwide. An annual survey involving around 4,000 travelers at Helsinki-Vantaa contributes to this recognition.

Laura Inttilä, the airport director who recently took office in February, expressed that this award highlights the airport's importance as a strategic international hub for Finland. She noted that the recognition indicates that passengers find Helsinki-Vantaa to be efficient, comfortable, and high-quality in an international context. This accolade not only enhances the airport's prestige but also underlines its commitment to providing excellent service to travelers.

In recent years, Helsinki-Vantaa has seen various upgrades including enhancements to the departure hall, security checks, retail and dining facilities, arrivals hall, as well as parking and travel services. These improvements reflect the airport’s ongoing efforts to create a better experience for passengers, reinforcing its position as a key player in international air travel.
