On a designated day, the Latvian Saeima is convening an extraordinary session aimed at expressing solidarity with Ukraine amidst its ongoing conflict with Russia. The session will feature speeches from significant figures, including President Edgars Rinkēvičs, Saeima Speaker Daiga Mieriņa, and the Chair of the Ukrainian Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk. This initiative reflects Latvia's strong commitment to supporting Ukraine during these challenging times, as the country faces unprovoked aggression from Russia that began over a year ago. Additionally, foreign diplomats residing in Latvia, as well as representatives from civil society and businesses supportive of Ukraine, have been invited to join the proceedings.
