The Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) of Latvia has focused its attention on the online store www.n1home.lv, operated by SIA 'N1HOME', following multiple consumer complaints. Between December 1, 2025, and February 20, 2026, the PTAC received 34 consumer submissions and provided 30 consultations regarding difficulties customers faced when purchasing from this retailer. The primary complaints highlighted delivery delays communicated post-purchase, with extensions issued multiple times, as well as problems concerning the return of funds for undelivered items and a lack of responses to consumer inquiries.
To date, PTAC has resolved 20 complaints, indicating significant consumer distress linked to the operations of SIA 'N1HOME'. The Centre is evaluating the retailer's practices in light of the information gathered from the complaints. PTAC emphasizes the importance for consumers to verify the reputation and reliability of a seller before making purchases online, highlighting a growing concern about e-commerce integrity in Latvia.
This investigation by the PTAC reflects a proactive approach to safeguarding consumer rights, especially as online shopping continues to rise. The outcome of this scrutiny could set precedents for online retailers in Latvia, underlining the necessity for transparent communication and accountability in e-commerce. Such actions by regulatory bodies aim to protect consumers and ensure that businesses adhere to fair trading practices.
