Detran-SP Auction Features Honda Civic Cheaper Than iPhone and Dafra Motorcycle for R$ 400
The São Paulo State Department of Traffic (Detran-SP) is holding a vehicle auction, featuring a Dafra motorcycle starting at R$ 400, with a high-end Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG priced significantly higher.
The São Paulo State Department of Traffic (Detran-SP) is set to conduct a new vehicle auction in the first week of March, showcasing vehicles that were impounded due to traffic violations. The auction includes a low-priced Dafra Smart 125 motorcycle from 2011, starting at just R$ 400, making it cheaper than the latest iPhone models available in the market. The auction offers an extensive range of vehicles, including a high-end Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG from 2013, starting bids beginning at R$ 140,000.
Public visitation for the auction will take place on March 2 and 3, providing potential buyers the opportunity to inspect the vehicles beforehand. The actual auction will be held virtually on March 5, with the vehicles housed in the municipal yard of Campinas, where visitors can view them from 9 AM to 4:30 PM on the visitation days. Notably, additional bidding dates are scheduled for different categories, including well-preserved vehicles, salvageable scrap, and vehicles for recycling, which further highlights the auction's wide scope.
This auction not only provides an opportunity for bargain hunters to purchase vehicles below market value but also emphasizes the extensive range of vehicles available within the state's traffic management system. By offering vehicles at competitive prices, Detran-SP aims to facilitate vehicle ownership while also addressing the issue of impounded vehicles cluttering municipal yards, turning potentially lost revenue into accessible options for car buyers in Brazil.
