Vehicles starting at R$ 150 will be offered in online auction by DetranRS; learn how to participate

DetranRS will conduct an online auction featuring 425 items, including cars, motorcycles, and scrap, beginning this Wednesday.

DetranRS, the traffic authority in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, is set to hold a virtual auction on Wednesday, April 4, featuring a total of 425 items that include cars, motorcycles, and scrap vehicles. Among these, there are 266 vehicles available for public purchase, while the remaining 159 units, categorized as scrap, can only be bid on by accredited companies such as vehicle dismantling centers.

The auction will take place exclusively online, with vehicles available for viewing in various depots located in the cities of Soledade, Não-Me-Toque, Fontoura Xavier, Barros Cassal, Espumoso, and Carazinho. Notably, some vehicles like a 2012/2013 NISSAN Frontier and a 2008 Ford Fusion have minimum bidding amounts significantly higher than the auction's standout vehicle, a 1983 gray Ford Del Rey, which is available for a starting bid of just R$ 150.

This auction presents an opportunity for the public to acquire vehicles at competitive prices, especially appealing to those looking for affordable options. Participants must complete their bids online, with the auction reflecting growing trends in digital participation in public sales and auctions in Brazil, making these previously inaccessible items more attainable for the average citizen.
