Elmora Balbino Rosa, 28, also known as 'Galega', was tragically killed in what is being treated as a case of femicide, after being struck in the neck with a hammer by her boyfriend, José Ilton da Silva, 53. The violent incident occurred on Sunday in Arapiraca, Alagoas, and Elmora was found by her mother in their home. The couple had been together for only a month, and police indicated that jealousy was a motive for the attack.
