In a tragic incident in the early hours of Tuesday, a 47-year-old woman was killed by her husband in Astolfo Dutra, located in the Zona da Mata region of Brazil. The incident occurred in their home on José Menezes Pereira street in the São José neighborhood. Reports from the Military Police indicate that the husband, aged 31, allegedly assaulted the victim by slamming her head against a toilet multiple times, leading to her death from the injuries sustained.

Following the assault, the perpetrator attempted to flee the scene on a bicycle but was apprehended a short time later in Cataguases, a nearby city located approximately 24 kilometers from Astolfo Dutra. Surveillance footage from a neighbor documented his exit from the residence at around 4:46 am.
