A new concert hall in Kaunas is set to open with a week-long series of events, featuring live music and educational activities, some of which are free.

A new concert hall in Kaunas is celebrating its opening with a week of events starting March 9, culminating in a highlighted live concert. This concert will feature performances by the modern rock band 'jautì' and the renowned rhythm and blues artist Free Finga, along with a warm-up act by the emerging artist Xguscia and her live band. The opening ceremonies aim to showcase the focus on live music, which is a core aspect of the venue’s identity.

Throughout the week, various events will take place, emphasizing local musical traditions. One of the significant events includes a presentation by three prominent choirs representing Kaunas's choral singing tradition, dating back to 1925 with the LSMU academic choir 'Neris'. Additionally, the performance will include a celebrated children's choir from the A. Kačanausko Music School and a choir from the Kaunas Basilica, collectively celebrating the city's rich musical heritage!

The venue will also emphasize its versatility; on Thursday, it will return to its original function as a cinema, inviting visitors to enjoy a special screening of historical and experimental films. This multi-faceted approach not only enriches the cultural landscape in Kaunas but also opens doors for community engagement through a variety of artistic expressions.
