The president of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, Giovanni Malagò, expressed great pride in the successful conclusion of the events leading to the games, reporting that a staggering 1.3 million tickets were sold, with 300,000 attendees at the shows held at Arco. He acknowledged the challenging years leading up to the event but emphasized that seeing the success makes all the difficulties worthwhile. Public engagement has been significant, underscoring the strength of community support in the lead-up to and during the games.

Malagò highlighted the spirited atmosphere at the event, noting moments such as a standing ovation received during a session of the International Olympic Committee led by president Kirsty Coventry.
