In tragedy, the bodies of six individuals who lost their lives in a boat collision with a pier on the Grande River, which marks the border between the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, are being laid to rest in Franca, São Paulo, on Monday, October 23. The victims were navigating back to their homes from a floating bar when the accident occurred on the night of Saturday, October 21. Unfortunately, out of the fifteen people aboard, six drowned, including a four-year-old boy named Bento and his mother, Viviane, who was about to celebrate her 36th birthday the following day. The incident sheds light on the dangers present in recreational boating, especially in the busy waterways where many have come to enjoy water-related activities.
