Videos circulating on social media reveal the rescue efforts for victims of a boat accident at the border of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, resulting in six fatalities, including a 5-year-old child.

Recent footage on social media depicts rescue operations following a tragic boating accident that occurred at the border between Rifaina, São Paulo, and Sacramento, Minas Gerais, on Saturday night. Reports indicate that six individuals lost their lives in the incident, including a 5-year-old child and her mother, as well as three women and the boat's pilot, according to the Civil Police of Araxá, MG.

The video reveals a coordinated effort involving rescue divers and volunteers who participated in searching for the occupants of the submerged vessel. Volunteers utilized additional boats to help right the capsized vehicle and provided lighting in the dimly lit area, which witnesses reported was lacking visibility at the time of the incident. The accident happened around 10:30 PM, after the group had departed a floating bar and was heading towards a local ranch.

Lieutenant Vicente de Paula Teixeira Junior of the Fire Department stated that approximately 15 people were aboard the boat when it collided with a pier along the river. The boating accident resulted in immediate casualties, claiming the lives of six occupants, while nine individuals survived the ordeal, with two requiring medical assistance and being transported to a healthcare facility as a result.
