The Poliperros initiative, developed over the past twelve years at the Escuela Politécnica Nacional in Quito, Ecuador, focuses on integrating stray dogs into university life while promoting awareness about responsible pet ownership. This unique project was born out of a need to tackle the rising problem of stray dogs and the abuse they suffer in society. It aims not only to provide a shelter for these animals but also to educate the university community about the importance of animal welfare.
